Everything New to Watch on Disney+ in January 2024

By Emily Hewitt

A new year calls for new films and episodes on Disney+, dropping this upcoming January.

Starting off the month strong (literally), Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated series Echo will premiere with all five episodes on Tuesday, January 9, at 6:00 p.m. PT on Disney+ and Hulu, with the series made available on Hulu until Tuesday, April 9. The series spotlights Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy.

In Assembled: The Making of Echo, premiering on Wednesday, January 31, go behind-the-scenes of Echo and discover how members of the production’s cast and crew learned American Sign Language to create a more inclusive and accessible on-set environment and how the filmmakers took unprecedented steps to portray Native American culture truthfully, and without artifice.

Choir, a six-part documentary series following the Detroit Youth Choir’s highs and lows of growing up in Detroit as they prepare for the performance of a lifetime, will also debut with all episodes on Wednesday, January 31.

Additionally, A Real Bug’s Life will premiere with all episodes streaming on Wednesday, January 24. Inspired by the World of Disney and Pixar, this Disney+ Original series from National Geographic is an incredible adventure into nine different micro-bug worlds around the globe.

Meanwhile, 10 new episodes of Season 3 of Bluey, the hit show about the joyful simplicity that can be found by turning everyday events into unique adventures that illuminate how children learn and grow through play, will be available to stream on Friday, January 12. Following shortly after, Season 2 of Siempre Fui Yo, will debut on Wednesday, January 17, with all episodes available to stream. The new season begins three years after the TV contest Lucas Martin Presenta: El Camino de El Faraón, when its participants meet again, and everything has changed dramatically.

A few Disney+ Original shows are also wrapping up their seasons in January, including BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, an eight-part docuseries about 21st century pop icons BTS’ 10-year career, featuring never-before-seen interviews, performances and behind-the-scenes moments across the decade. Episodes 5 and 6 will be available to stream on Wednesday, January 3, with Episodes 7 and 8 available to stream on Wednesday, January 10.

The three leads from Percy Jackson and the Olympians—Percy Jackson, played by Walker Scobell; Annabeth Chase, played by Leah Jeffries; and Grover Underwood, played by Aryan Simhadri—stand in a foggy forest and stare ahead.

Lastly, Percy Jackson and the Olympians will round off its first season with a new episode dropping every Wednesday in January, until the finale on Wednesday, January 31, in which Mount Olympus beckons… and Percy (Walker Scobell) must face his greatest battle yet.
